  • Liquid IV + Creatine 10g , banana, gel before
  • Gel and 1 bottle of Skratch labs hi carb

Dragged myself over the finish line at @repackracing.com #CCCX 2 after a good 10 days battling a cold. Lining up at the start in a cold morning was a victory in itself. Finished a good 10min behind the leader, but felt good most of the time and kept consistent over the 6 laps.

Did a bit better than last time at the start, managed to jump lot’s of folks by choosing a good line and hit the singletrack ahead of my groups leaders.

Gotta work on those sub minute power bursts. More than half the time was spent above threshold, with a significant anaerobic component. A large reliance over CHO (at least for my type of riding)

Lap times pretty consistent, power dropped on Lap 4, when I finally got a gel in, got me back for lap 5, and should have probably followed up with a second gel before lap 6. I guess I need to maintain that same power as first lap if I want to move up a few spots. IF=0.99 says nothing left in the tank
